Installation of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s Lotus Feet near Vishnupad Gaya

On 17 March 2023, ISKCON Gaya is going to install Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Lotus Feet near Vishnupad Temple in Gaya in the gracious presence of HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaj. The construction is being done on land of 2300 sq. feet.
Who is Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu?

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is an incarnation of Krishna who appeared in Mayapur, Nabadwip Dham in West Bengal, India in the 15th century A.D. (around 500 years ago)

When Krishna spoke Bhagavad-Gita to Arjuna in Mahabharat, he exhibited all the power and majesty of God Himself. His final instruction to Arjuna was that surrendering to Him is superior to all other religious duties.

But due to the effect of this Kalyuga, most people don’t know how to really surrender to Lord. Then Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared, as predicted in various Vedic Scriptures for preaching the holy names of God and teaching us how to progress on the spiritual path by the simplest method in this Kalyuga, by chanting Hare Krishna Mahamantra

In the Bhagavad-Gita itself, as Lord Krishna has said:

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Visit to Gaya

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu visited Gaya when he was 16 or 17 years old for performing the Śrāddha ceremony (offering pilgrimage ~ Pitradaan) for his demised father, Jagannath Mishra.

He visited Vishnupad Temple, heard the glories of Lord Vishnu and offered Pin daan at 17 places in Gaya.

Here he met his spiritual Guru, Sripad Ishvara Puri from whom he received initiation (Diksha) and his life took a change.

After visiting Gaya, Mahaprabhu started the Sankirtan Movement in which people join together and chant the holy names of God collectively in a common place (irrespective of caste, colour, race or status).

So it is our fortune to take blessings from Lord’s Lotus feet.
